Maria Gonzalez Haesler is currently a third-year pharmacy student at Palm Beach Atlantic University Lloyd. L Gregory School of Pharmacy (GSOP).
During her time as a student pharmacist, Maria has been actively involved in both the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) and is currently serving as ACCP chapter president and APhA-ASP Operation Diabetes Chair.
While serving in these roles, she has coordinated and volunteered at various health screening events throughout South Florida, including being a coordinator for ADA's Step Out Walk- Point of Care Blood Glucose Testing Event. Maria has also attended the APhA 2023 Midyear Regional Meeting and the APhA 2022 Annual Convention.
Outside of her involvement with APhA and ACCP, Maria serves as Rho Chi Vice President, Phi Lambda Sigma Secretary, GSOP delegate, and she is an active Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Brother.
Maria’s passion for serving others has also led her to serve on two medical mission trips to Honduras and Ecuador, where she worked alongside other healthcare professionals to counsel patients, go on home visits, and visit orphanages and local nursing homes.
Maria's professional interests include pursuing PGY1 and PGY2 Residency Programs in the ambulatory setting that will allow her to serve an underserved patient population and expand her clinical skillset to improve her patients' health outcomes, quality of life, and reduce health disparities.
