Madison Trent

Sam Kalman Scholarship

University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy

Madison Trent is a third-year pharmacy student at the University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy. Born and raised in Montana, she received her Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from Montana State University in 2019. Before returning to academics to pursue Pharmacy, she worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at a local hospital for two years.


Madison served as President-Elect and is currently serving as chapter President of her local APhA-ASP chapter. She has been an active member of APhA since her first year, helping coordinate events such as the Student Health Fair, Diabetes Walk, policy proposals, and a school talent show "Skaggs Got Talent". In addition to APhA, Madison is an active member of many other organizations including Rho Chi Honors Society, Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, Montana Pharmacists Association. Kappa Psi, and NCPA. In service to the school of pharmacy, she is a first-year student mentor, member of the student leadership committee, and has served as a student representative for multiple committees.


Madison currently works as a Pharmacy Intern at an independent pharmacy located on campus, as well as a retail pharmacy in town. She enjoys interacting directly with community members, especially at vaccine clinics! She is excited to start her fourth year clinical rotations located across the state of Montana. In her free time, Madison likes to hike and explore the beautiful landscape of her hometown with her golden retriever, Eleanor.
