Katherine Davis

Elizabeth K Keyes Scholarship

Purdue University

Katherine (Kate) Davis is a fourth-year student pharmacist at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. Currently, Kate serves as a member of the APhA-ASP Awards Standing Committee. She is also a member of the Career and Leadership Development Student Forum for the ASHP.

Her leadership journey began during her first year of pharmacy school, when she served as Vice President of Academic Excellence for the Beta Sigma chapter of Sigma Kappa and began her involvement in APhA-ASP. Through this experience, she developed a passion for leadership and supporting others. She expanded her dedication to APhA-ASP after attending APhA Annual 2022 in San Antonio, Texas, which led her to serve as President-elect and later as President of APhA-ASP at Purdue. Her commitment to mentoring and engaging with student pharmacists is evident through her teaching assistant positions within the College of Pharmacy and involvement in pharmacy organizations, including Phi Lambda Sigma and the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Outside of pharmacy, Kate is a 2023-2025 Indiana Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Scholar, dedicating time to underserved and vulnerable populations across the state. Through this program, she has connected with other health profession students, engaging in community-based work and interdisciplinary experiential education events to serve local communities in need. Throughout the two-year program, she has dedicated more than 80 hours to community engagement.

After graduation, Kate hopes to continue fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, empowering others to become the best versions of themselves. Her professional interests include pediatrics, hematology/oncology, and emergency medicine.
