Gloria Francke Scholarship

University of Kansas School of Pharmacy

Joelle Frady is a third-year student pharmacist at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. Her passion for pharmacy began in high school when she recognized the role pharmacists play beyond dispensing medications. From essential advocates to ensuring quality care and bridging gaps in healthcare, she hopes to incorporate all of these aspects into her future career.

Within APhA, she proudly serves as the 2024-2025 National Contact Person for the International Standing Committee. Locally, she has served as the Vice President of Patient Care and the Operation Reproductive Health Chair, receiving the 2023-2024 Region 6 Operation Reproductive Health Award. She also serves SNPhA as the current Secretary and past Fundraising Chair concurrent with SNPhA Regions III, IV, and V Venue Committee Lead, hosting a conference for over 250 students spanning 36 states. Beyond this, she represents her university as a student ambassador and serves as a mentor within the student Peer Mentor Program. Outside of extracurriculars, she displays her dedication to her education through her involvement with the Rho Chi Honor Society, where she serves as community service chair and tutors several classes within the pharmacy curriculum.

Joelle fortifies her commitment to the profession by working two jobs as a pharmacy intern, at The University of Kansas Health System - Olathe Campus alongside an independent pharmacy Orchards Drug. She hopes that the variety in her experiences combined with her dedication to academics can be integrated into her practices as a pharmacist to effect change on a local, regional, and national level.
