Desiree Herman is a dedicated third-year student pharmacist at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has discovered a profound passion for serving and helping others, which drives her daily activities and commitments. Desiree believes in the power of teamwork and values building strong relationships, which have been instrumental in her success. Her commitment to service is evident through her active involvement in various organizations, including the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA), Buffalo Say Yes Saturday Academy, Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS, Pharmacy Leadership Society), and the University at Buffalo Pharmacy Summer Institute (PSI). Desiree served as the APhA-ASP Region 1 Midyear Regional Meeting Coordinator from 2023-2024. Additionally, she currently serves as the President of the UB Chapter of PLS, APhA-ASP Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medication Safety Co-chair, PSI Leadership Team Curriculum Chair, PPA P3 Liaison, and Buffalo Say Yes Saturday Academy P3 Liaison. She also contributes to the APhA-ASP National Membership Engagement Standing Committee, the PLS International Planning Committee, and the UB Rare Disease Day Planning Committee. Desiree's dedication to her community and her peers is unwavering, and she continually seeks opportunities to make a positive impact.
