Idaho State University L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy

Brittney Patton is a second-year pharmacy student at Idaho State University’s L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy. A first-generation college student, she earned an AA degree in Psychology from Shasta College and a BS in Health Sciences from Idaho State University.
Her passion for pharmacy stems from growing up in a rural area with limited access to healthcare, witnessing her father and grandmother struggle with serious health conditions. Her father battled substance use disorder, while her grandmother suffered a stroke. Watching them navigate a complex healthcare system with limited health literacy and little understanding of how to advocate for their own health inspired Brittney’s mission.
She is dedicated to advocating for individuals who cannot or do not know how to advocate for themselves. Her goal is to provide meaningful care for those in underserved areas and for patients with low health literacy, ensuring they have access to the resources and support they need.
