Raylee Pack is a resident pharmacist at Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy in Nashville, TN.

“Community specialty pharmacies with programs for chronic inflammatory conditions are well-positioned to provide in-depth, focused, and continual care to patients with psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease with many burdensome symptoms, such as skin plaques, decreased confidence, depression, and sleep disturbances. Community specialty pharmacies with programs for chronic inflammatory conditions are well-positioned to provide in-depth, focused, and continual care to patients with psoriasis. There is limited data on the impact community pharmacists can have on consultation and medication management to patients with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

I am excited to gain a deeper understanding of the role that a specialty pharmacist can assume in symptom management of psoriasis. Psoriasis can be a burdensome disease, and I look forward to finding new ways that pharmacists can aid in managing their symptoms.”
