" I am honored to receive an Incentive Grant this year to further discuss naloxone with our often overlooked geriatric patient population. I have always enjoyed working with people of advanced age and want to make a difference for those in my local community!"

"Following a recent discussion with an elderly family member about naloxone and opioids, I became intrigued with their initial thoughts. After the conversation, I could not help but think of the many other geriatric patients with hesitancy regarding naloxone. This provided my motivation to help expand patient knowledge of naloxone and opioid safety. "

"Appalachia is disproportionately impacted by opioid misuse causing concern for patient safety. I am excited to openly discuss naloxone with our geriatric patient population in hopes of making an impact on our local community! The incentive grant will allow me to make a difference in my local community through spreading naloxone awareness."
