Dana Mcdonald is a PGY-1 community-based pharmacy resident at Albertsons/Safeway in Denver, CO.

“The purpose of my project is to increase pharmacist knowledge and readiness of HIV PrEP and PEP test and medication prophylaxis services.

I wanted to use active learning to do an educational video series on an underutilized service. HIV PrEP and PEP prescribed by pharmacists has many barriers to care and by providing an educational series will help improve pharmacists' ability, comfortability and knowledge of providing the test and medication prophylaxis.

I am honored to be a recipient of the APhA Incentive Grant! I am excited to improve pharmacists' knowledge and comfortability with this underutilized service.”
